CUSTOM - SSP Mustang coupe updates

Slowly but surly I am getting this little car done. It is to be a clone of my real 89 Mustang for those who don't know.

The last time I posted about this build I was having issues with trying to narrow the axles in a professional manner and now with the advice from fellow customizers I have a solution! I used brass rod to set the wheel width as well as to receive the existing axle ends once cut. Here is how it goes together:

As you can see, you mount the brass tube in the chassis and glue it in place after you cut to length. You can then cut a small center section from the original axle and keep the ends since they hold the wheels on. Then just put a TINY dab of glue on the tip of the axle and slide it in and set your play. Not too difficult.

I was very surprised I got the car clued together with all 4 wheels touching at once instead of twisted a bit.

From there I have just been working to make the car fit together as tight as possible to eliminate body gaps. I ended up cutting the glass in half since it made contact with some of the built up JB weld I used to fill the roof in.

The last part i am working on is painting the interior which is not going well. Soon enough though it will be done so stay tuned!
