So I’m on a Japanese kick and have been getting back into customs for the moment! Last week I finished a sweet Hako Skyline that was intended to have a homebuilt weekend racer vibe to it. Since it worked so well I decided to give the same treatment to a Kenmeri.
Painted chassis black, body is Ford Dark Shadow Gray, detail painted trim/lights/fender flares/ect, and matchbox wheels.
So after this car I still had the desire to do more and as I had a couple more Skylines I went ahead and did some detailing on them.
First is the Hako from the Japan Historics series. Great from the start but the card art shows such a mean front end that never recieved the tampos it deserved. I painted the lights blue, darkened the grille, and detailed the trans cooler, and painted the flares yet again.
Next us is a Kenmeri from the Redlines series. Pretty well I did the same treatment as in painted flares, black front splitter, red rear valance, and some lights. I’m very happy with how this turned out.
And the whole crew:
I have some cars to custom that have been waiting a while but soon enough I will do some more Japanese cars. Stay tuned!
