My lack of activity on here is depressing as I am simply working all day everyday with no break outside of eating and sleeping it seems. I decided that I needed to do a fun and less stressful build outside of the real motorcycles I have been doing and that a diecast custom was the perfect choice!

rsion? My goal was to convert the truck into a base model Chevy that had lived its life in a place like Arizona where the sun did its thing. Below is how I got there.

Stripping and smoothing:
Began smoothing and then rebuilding the grille...challenging!
I cut up some balsa wood for an actual wood bed floor. This is actually one of the main reasons I wanted to do this truck because i wanted to build a wood floor!
Gluing the axle tubes after lots of test fitting. The rear tires needed LOTS of material removal from the inner fenders. The top of the rear fenders are paper thin in a couple spots...not kidding
Finally after many more details(cooler, spare 2x4s, rag in the fuel door, side mirror, rear tailgate, interior, ect.) she is done!
And there she is! It felt great to do another custom as I see the amazing stuff by you all through Instagram and I was itching to get back into it! First custom in over a year.
