There are special models in every collection. Of course, every collector defines for himself what “special” models are. For me, this model is something very special and an absolute highlight! I have been following the career of Darrell Wallace Jr. aka “Bubba” for quite a long time. He drove as a substitue for Eric Almirola, who was injured. Bubba finished 26th at the Pocono 400.
Therefore, his “First Cup Ride” was an absolute must-have. At first it was unclear, if the diecast even appears, because Lionel likes to use the red pencil too often in the past. The more enthusiastic I am now that I can bring this 1/24th scale model to my collection. The “weathering” of this raced-version is fantastic and really close to the real car. ....And Bubba`s signature on the windshield tops it....
