For the turbo-day I would like to show you a french classic, that took part at the FIA World Rally Championship.
This freaky fast hatchback (1.4 liter 4-cylinder turbo, 300hp, later over 400hp) driven by Jean Ragnotti and co-driver Jean-Marc Andrié was set into Group 4 (1981) and into Group B (1982-1986) to fight against all the well-known Group B -monsters like the legendary AUDI Quattro.
But as you may know, during that time, the rear drive was not state of the art anymore....
The 1982 FIA Rally France “Tour de Corse” took place from May 6th to May 8th and extended over 27 special with a total distance of 1.176 kilometers.
Isn`t that crazy???
Contrary to expectations, the little Renault could use his home advantage to win the rally.
