A model that almost didn’t make it into my collection.
The shown Chevy Camaro was entered in 2018 by Hendrick Motorsports in the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series and was driven by Chase Elliott.
When the manufacturer “Lionel Racing” announced the model, I was more than disappointed. Because the vehicle was simple only green.... and it looked rather boring, which was untypical for a MtnDew paint job.
That changed abruptly when Chase posted a photo of the original car in the social media.
I didn’t think long about it, but contacted my dealer immediately to pre-order the model.
When the car was to be seen then during the TV broadcast, the anticipation rose on the miniature.
The joy was even greater when the model arrived at home. The colouring and varnishing are phenomenal.
The metallic effect almost looks like as if the paint was still liquid.
This car, which Chase used to win the race in Kansas in October 2018, is in my opinion one of the most beautiful he’s ever driven. Only the vehicles in Hooters design I like even better.
