My second custom

A Skyline R34 for my second attempt. Previously, I used Tamiya paint; this time I tried Testors One Coat Lacquer. The Tamiya paint was incredibly easy to work with; the Testors, not so much. This stuff is quite thick and gives a smooth, perfect finish on flatter surfaces, but tends to soften the sharp details and lines of the casting. It also bubbled oddly in small crevices like panel lines and where the bumper meets the body. Perhaps it would be better thinned and airbrushed?

Even after clear coat, I've chipped the paint in a low-speed desktop collision with another Hot Wheels. Back to Tamiya paint, I'm afraid.
