My favorite Lamborghini has always been the Gallardo Valentino Balboni. Rear wheel drive, six speed manual, a GREAT name on it as tribute to a great man, and an absolutely killer paint job. I'm not a huge fan of the blue one, but the orange one gets me every time. In my tribute to this tribute, I present to you the Veneno Valentino Balboni.

The Hot Wheels Veneno is a great casting, and I had to make sure I left one unmolested, as the stock paint looks great in grey with the tricolore stripes on the sides and the characteristic red pinstriped wheels. But I when I got an extra one, I couldn't resist. I do wish the orange paint job was a little lighter and closer to the real thing, but it still looks good with a shiny acrylic top coat.

Because of my not always steady hand I taped this bad boy up and sprayed on the stripes in two stages and with some corrective action after I pulled the tape off a little too late, making the stripe a little ragged on one edge. The rest I did by hand. The headlights were tough because of the thin lines, but came out looking pretty decent.
