We've had a lot of new interest in customs this week, as well as some great work from the old master, Carnage717. Let's get started.
Enginerrrrrrrrr(I'm approximating your number of 'r's)'s announcement of a looming custom sprurred a lot of great questions. I started answering them in a short reply to him, but I will try to continue a series, covering each aspect point by point, and discussing different approaches. I started this a little bit already with my post about custom axles, so any comments or if you use a different method, please let me know in the comments!
I love the idea of a polished Cobra with a sharknose on it. You could even get fancy with it and make it a king cobra head. Can't wait to see the results!
Jeff Simmons is back in the game! And he is taking us through his journey of transforming a yellow Mini into a polished racing machine. It'll look amazing with some spectraflame racing stripes!
My own contribution to the cause this week was a Hakosuka Skyline I did for JMildren. I actually enjoyed doing it so much, I ended up doing another one for myself!
On my own Hako I substituted the black spoiler for a red one, but I'll share once it's finished!
Carnage717's always crazy cool work came through once again! Check out his Tillamook Cheese Shorty Kool Kombi!
Hopefully my contribution to the Tillamook series will be done soon too and look even HALF as good as this guy.
How can you resist this face??
And then today he went and topped himself with this BMW 2002 touring car! Is there anything that can beat blue, purple, and red on a white background? The answer is NO!
Finally, this week's Innovation Award goes to none other than El_Uly. The Datsun 620 is already such a great casting, but to strip it, scuff it up, and expose it to sea water? Genius!! And though we are all sad to think of the Furai on cinder (Lego) blocks, I think we also all agree that the blue wheels look mega on this little truck. D is for Datsun for SURE.
That's all for this week! I apologize for the delay in posting, but I have been going through a busy time in the office so I'm just glad I was able to get it out today!
As always, please put any comments, concerns, inspiration, and ideas in the comments and I will see you next week!
