For Supercar Sunday, how about a battle of HW vs. Custom Lamborghini Venenos!
In the left corner... acquired at K-Day September 2014... hailing from 2014 Q case... Oraaaaaaaange Venenoooooooo!
In the right corner... acquired a few months ago, formerly in silver... repainted to honor Valentino Balboni... Oraaaaaaaaaange Venenoooooooo!
Casting
Since they are both the same casting, I'm going to go ahead and call this one a tie. Cool? Cool.
Fit and Finish
Obviously Hot Wheels possesses painting tools that I do not, resulting in a much shinier, orange, smooth finish. Edge goes to Hot Wheels for this one.
Details
I added all the detail I could, from the tail light LEDs, to the tail pipes, to the black scoops, to the chin spoiler, and even added hand painted headlights and a Raging Bull badge on the front. I think I've earned it here. Suck on that, Hot Wheels!!
Final Thoughts
Well, since I am now sentimentally attached to the Balboni I think that one wins. It has more detail, lacks a bit in the paint quality, but does have Balboni stripes. I like to think that the legend himself would prefer my Veneno over the orange Hot Wheels version too. But I may be biased.
All i can say is, I did the orange first. So there.
