As a boy I played with cars a LOT, resulting in a nice little childhood collection. Though it definitely looked bigger to me when I was little, it's not too bad!
However, as I got older I didn't really continue the scale cars as a hobby. I had my 1:18 Bburagos on display, but that's about it. Then when my son was born and grew up a bit, I necessarily started frequenting the toy aisle, which brought me back in touch with little cars. At first I was a little shy about buying them, since I felt weird buying kids toys as an adult, but eventually the Matchbox Fisker Karma and Hot Wheels Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 won out, and we all know where I stand now. My two-car desk collection currently stands at 30 (holy crap), with many more at home, plus my customizing collection.
So, which cars (re)ignited your collecting habits, or did it just never stop? We're not throwing back too far today, but it's a throwback nonetheless.
