The Toyota 2000-GT is a great casting of a great car. From the 2013 $uper Treasure Hunt version in spectraflame red, to the mainline red, yellow, and black versions, all are well proportioned, appropriately tampo-ed, and have a great choice of wheel in the MC5.

What is more, the racing version by Carroll Shelby from 1968, the only season they were raced in SCCA, is just too iconic yet simple to ignore. Naturally, I had to do a version, and here is part one.
The actual paint scheme is easy, though taping was a bit of a job because of the body curves and the fender mounted mirrors. The rest was really just detailing and decals. I kept the stock wheels, painting them all silver with a black stain, and true to life color-coded center hubs, red for left side, blue for right side. When I first saw pictures I thought the blue car had blue hubs and the red car had red hubs, but thanks to Boxerfanatic and his inexhaustible knowledge, I now know better.
Part two is waiting on some decals, but should be done in the next couple of days.
Let me know what you think!
