Welcome back to the Customs Review! I didn't post a review last week since sadly we didn't have any new customs during the week. This wee is also a bit slow, but Carnage717 is back with an awesomely cute rendition of a Hanna-Barbera classic cartoon car, and I finally finished a months-long project of my own.
Let's get to the pictures!
I personally never watched this show, I guess it didn't make it across the pond during my childhood, but Speed Buggy definitely looks like a Hanna-Barbera cartoon. And though I was never that big of a fan of Hanna-Barbera, what I did appreciate about them was their creativity with vehicles. Just look at all those wacky racers!
Judging from the enclosed image of the "real" thing, Carnage717 did an amazing rendition of this fun-loving speed demon! I especially love the "reuse, reduce, recycle" spirit of using the axle you just cut off the donor to use as the antenna. Well done, sir!

ortoLANparty also came to the, erm, party with a custom Scion FR-S in stunning gunmetal grey. This car has a super smooth finish to it that is absolutely stunning. Sometimes all it takes is a few lights and a respray to make that regular car into something super special.
Finally, here is my own long-term project rounded off, while at the same time serving as the prototype for a commissioned set of matching #23 and #33 Shelby Toyota 2000-GTs! I'm already very happy with how it turned out, but, it being the prototype, there will be some improvements made on the final product.
And lastly, I want to leave you guys with a note on the (at least my own) ultimate goal in customizing these tiny cars. This quote comes from fellow LaLDiecaster Shiftright, and I couldn't agree with it more:
"I loved the idea of elevating what was in essence a disposable 99 cent toy into a tiny artful collectable. "
This is why I love doing customs.
