It's been a while since we've last seen each other at the LaLD Customs Review. It's been a bit quieter than usual, but that doesn't mean that no customs were being worked on/completed/experimented with.
Personally I have about 6 works in progress that I'm working hard at catching up on, and hopefully soon I'll have something completed to reveal to you guys.
In the mean time, enjoy your fellow LaLDiecasters' work, starting with our good friend Craig Oesterling, who is back with a vengeance (and a Lamborghini Veneno)!
His work and attention to detail are utterly fantastic! I love the orange accents with the brown metallic paint. Do more! Do more! Now go check out all the pictures here!
As we all know, Sn210 recently bought a silver MR2 in 1:1 scale. Now, he has a 1:64 to put next to it! Very well done, and great choice of wheels to complement the full-scale version!
Navyeagleeye86 brings us some of his new customs, as well as some oldie-but-goodies in his recap post. My favorite is definitely the trike in the back of the Dodge Rampage! Very nicely detailed!
Go check out all his work here.
Frosted saved a project car from the scrap heap by going to a 1:64 pick-n-pull. Reuse, reduce, recycle, guys!
Jeff Simmons started experimenting with dying hot wheels, with, I think, great, though unexpected results. That Supra's finish looks rad to me, kind of reminds me of EL_ULY's Datsun 620 post-salt bath. Jeff has since refined his techniques, the results of which you can see on our facebook page.
Now for a PSA. I think Sn210 pointed it out previously, but don't drink and custom, folks! Because you WILL blister your windows with glue, or have to redo your Mustang's powerdome. And friends don't let friends ruin their powerdomes.
Don't forget to keep customizing, learning, experimenting, and inspiring! Also, if you happen to be on instagram and see something that strikes your fancy and should be included here, hashtag it with "LaLDCustoms" so I can find it. I am going to add a "Found on the 'Gram" section in future issues of the Customs Review.
