My recent obsession with this car has taken a turn for the better. I impulse bought a 1:43 Mobil-liveried version last week, then a day later, inspired by Sn210, bought a 1:64 Straßenversion as well.

Thankfully both ebay shippers complied with my mania and I had them both on my doorstep 3 days later! Thanks ebay!!

The casting is great, I love that it is the first version without the tear-drop headlights. Beyond the headlights, though, the lighting situation is a bit bare, so right after completing the easiest wheel swap I've ever done, I addressed that situation as well.

I know this car was literally begging me for some BBS style wheels, because the rivets came of in perfect little rings with just a few turns of the drill, and the chassis doesn't have annoying tabs holding the axles in place, and the chassis width is exactly the same as the donor Porsche 934 Turbo RSR wheels.

Much improved, I think!

Sorry for the grainy pics. iPhone5 doesn't like low-light situations. I really need to work on this light box thing. And get a new potato...
