We all know Instagram is a great place to both display and discover customs. We also know the big names in Hot Wheels customization, and have even featured a few on here before, such as bjorn_ready and carllector. Seriously, go follow both, they do some crazy stuff.
But a few days ago I spotted some certified next level stuff. Jesse Buck, also known as jessebuck57 built a Datsun 510 pickup. And while that’s cool, he is certainly not the first to do this. He is, however, as far as I know, the first to custom build the chassis, driveshaft, exhaust, headers, control arms, oil pan, and more. Oh, custom tires too. As I said, next level stuff.
He sent me some build photos, which, as you can see, are very interesting and reveal the level of detail in this car. So enjoy the pics and go follow this dude if you are in instagram. And if you’re not, go sign up, and follow @live_and_let_diecast. And then the guys I just told you about.
As you can see, the cab is from a Datsun 620.
As you can also see, the donor tailgate and bed came from a Toyota truck.
Toyota fender flares out, Datsun 510 fender flares in.
All mocked up with the 510 front, 620 cab, Toyota bed.
