Wheel Donor Friday

I forget who it was that posted about the store Tuesday Morning, but I finally went and did pretty well. Seconding Tinfoil Hat’s sentiment, I now have access to more than one set of Real Riders!

The full hawl:

  • VW T1 Panelbus. Not a donor. GREAT casting that I am stoked to finally have in my collection.

  • Double Demon Delivery: These are the wheels that are not on cars enough. Not sure what they are called, but black multispokes. Finally a wheel that is not specifically suited for muscle cars! It has a weird green stripe on the sidewall, but I’m sure some rubbing alcohol can take care of that. I already had one set of these, but now I’m glad to have found another, as the sizes are offset. Now I have a full set of large and regular wheels.
  • Peeps Chevy Nomad: It has an opening hood! And a set of Fuchs looking wheels. Again, glad to have found this one, because the wheels are also offset. I already had a Dove Dodge delivery van that I bought last week with the same wheels, so once again, a full set of large and a full set of regular wheels now at my disposal.
  • 1934 Chrysler Airflow (x2): Had to buy two because, you guessed it, offset wheel size. BUT it has the gold wheels that R23 Rennsport graced his DB5 with, so I am a very happy camper indeed to have found that. Maybe a wheel for my DB5 shooting brake? Let’s see if the gold pairs well with whatever color it will be.
  • NSX: Just cuz.
  • Honda Racer: I noticed the other day in a photo of it that it has a big exposed V10 sitting in the back. That V-Tec is going to kick in inside the engine bay of the Austin Mini that donated it’s roof to science the DB5!

There you have it, folks. At $2.49 each I may have to go back and just pick up the rest as well... I left another demon delivery and VW on the pegs so they may have to come home with me as trade fodder and extra wheel donor material.
