When I went to Home Depot last week to get a wall switch plate and a hook to hang up my new bike in the garage, I decided to stroll past the paint aisle, and ended up picking up a can of Carbon Mist by Rustoleum.

It’s a lot like the paint on the black Porsche 934 Turbo RSR and I picked it up thinking it might be nice for the Aston shooting brake. As a trial I sprayed a stripped Porsche 935/78 casting, and here is the result.

Though too black for the Aston, but reminded me a lot of the Exoto 1:18 935. Plus, the wheels from the Frankenstein Double Demon Delivery just fit too well!

I only got some crappy shots of the interior, because after I snapped it back together it wouldn’t come apart again without significant force, and I didn’t want to risk my nice paint finish, so I left it as is.

I added some tail lights and oxidized titanium exhaust tips, and here we are. Carbon Mist Porsche 935/78. Hope you guys enjoyed it!
