[VVHTF] 2016 HW Porsche 356A Outlaw

Well, well, well, look what we have here! It’s the 2016 yet-to-be-released Porsche 356A Outlaw! I suppose we should have expected it on Ebay sooner or later...

What we can glean from this listing:

• It’s a fantastic looking model. The tampos are superb, flat black with gold and red stripes, the Magnus Walker logo, the red fuel filler cap, choice of wheels... I cannot wait to get my hands on it and this just makes me more excited for it to come out!
• Another great example of the shady side of the HW collecting circus, with desirable models being sold from Malaysia months before they are officially released. Isn’t the factory in Malaysia...? What a coincidence.
• Bidding is still at a civil level of $1.25, and even the international shipping rate of $11.99 is actually pretty reasonable. I’m almost tempted to bid.

But then I remember that it would mean I am buying into this black/grey market and thereby condone such practices. I believe Jeff wrote about this issue a while back (I couldn’t find the post...).

In conclusion, am I mighty mighty tempted to plop down a $15+ for this model right now versus waiting to find it at Walmart in a few months? Yes. But the fact that it costs a dollar if I wait, combined with the dubious legality of the whole operation means I’ll reluctantly close the open Ebay tab in Chrome and get back to work.

*sigh* The struggle is real, folks.
