At long last I get to show off this stunning model that good friend Jobjoris sent me in our last iHWEP. It’s been a busy time, leading to a lack of me posting and a lack of me taking pictures of cool cars. But this is the coolest of cars, and therefore deserves attention.

As Jobjoris has previously explained, I believe, Michel Vaillant is a comic book racing driver penned by Jean Graton. First published in 1957, and still going on today, this comic book series brings us not only excellent adventures of a racing driver, but also a fantastic timeline of race car history and of racing history in general. Michel raced in the 24h of LeMans, F1, the Targa Florio, IndyCar, rallying, etc.

Michel Vaillant always most of the time raced in his own family firm’s cars, this being the Vaillante LeMans 61. As you can see, the model is stunning. It could’ve been a real car and would’ve been a fantastically pretty one.
