As you all may know if you are following @live_and_let_diecast on Instagram (and if you aren’t, you really should!), we recently hit -and passed- the 10,000 follower mark! Traditionally, that calls for a giveaway of some sort. We decided, however, to spice things up a little.
We are still doing a giveaway, but with an added component. Anyone on Instagram is invited to post a photo of their favorite diecast by 4/21/2016, but it has to include either the LaLD logo or something relating to LaLD, and tagged with #LaLD10kGiveaway. All the entries will then be posted here for all of you fine LaLDers to vote on. The top-4 vote getters are then posted to a poll on our Instagram page, where ‘grammers will vote for the ultimate winner.
And these two fine cars make up the prize package! You may remember I enlisted your help to design them, and a big thank you goes to Section38 for the final inspiration and design mockups!
The goal was to take two Hot Wheels favorites, and drape them both in a LaLD livery that at the same time tied them together. I went with the “classic” LaLDsun wheels on the LaLDsun 510 wagon, while going for Matchbox three-lug wheels in reverse colors on the Fairlady. i think the wheels look pretty good on there! Interior on both are again the “standard” LaLDsun pattern of saddle brown with purple upholstery.
