Superfly Customs Build Update

I’ve had a slow start to my Superfly Custom Hot Wheels Contest build.

As some of you may know, I’m trying to build a Safari/Dakar Porsche 959 with a livery reminiscent of the super classic Rothmans 959. But so far it’s been a slow process, both in finding time and actual progress.

Here’s where I am now. I’ve opened up the spoiler that HW so nicely closed off, but now the surface is super rough, and it’s a very hard to reach area for needle files and sand paper. Not sure if I’ll be able to smooth it out completely, but I’ll do what I can. Thanks a LOT, HW!

The 1:1 does have an intercooler or something sitting right in that space in between the spoiler, so if I can put something like that in, it might cover a little of the hard to reach damage. Of course that does entail me building a tiny intercooler... *sigh*

Currently it’s sitting in a stripper bath, I’ll better be able to see the extent of the roughness when the paint is gone.

So, how are you guys doing with your builds?
