So here is one teaser photo of the Donkervoort (more like Bonkers-voort, amirite?? :P) D8GTO by IXO in 1:43.

Of course, it being an IXO, it had one of those delightful triangular screws securing it to its base. And this being my first IXO, I did not have a method of freeing it, which I realized as I took it outside to unbox and photograph in the beautiful unseasonably warm fall sun.

But this was an opportunity to try out some amateur blacksmithing! I love watching blacksmithing videos on youtube and this was a fantasy come true! So I broke out my creme brulee torch, jack stand, and claw hammer and went to town on an old piercer with a bent tip. End result is totally crooked, but it works!
