Teutonic Tuesday Twofer

I only found out this morning that it was 550 Spyder day, so I quickly grabbed the only model of it that I own, a 1:64 Maisto with terrible wheels that look like they are wooden wagon wheels, and took some photos in my car on the way to work.

Last night, however, planning for an actual TT post, I took some night time shots of a car I haven’t pulled out of the display case in a while: the 1:43 Ebbro Porsche 956 “Trust” that won the 500km of Fuji WEC event on May 6, 1983 at the hands of Vern Schuppan and Naohiro Fujita. This car also won the other two races in the 1983 Fuji Long Distance Series, the 1000km of Fuji, and the 500mi of Fuji. It did, however, finish behind the Rothmans 956s of Bellof/Bell and Mass/Ickx at the WEC 1000km event at Fuji.

Hopefully for the next TT I’ll have a new member to my 1:43 Porsche collection, but for now, here is a golden oldie.
