Start to finish, this may have been my most successful wagon/shooting brake conversion yet. I love how this Skyline van I built for Witheredcustomz turned out and I hope he’ll love it just as much!
I started out with two Skylines, and chopped the roof off of one of them, and sanded the roof on the receiving car to better mate the surfaces.
Then I sanded the new roof flush with the old roof, glued, puttied...
Sanded, primed...
Stanced...
Sanded again, primed again...
Threw on some metallic orange/bronze paint...
Detailed...
Registered with the Japanese DMV...
And voila! Now she is clearcoated and sits on a set of the Air-cooled series Fiat 500 wheels, nice and low. The rear window is from the same Skyline, I just had to sand the rear edge flat to make it fit.
Also, you can see just a hint of it, but the interior is purple. Lovely contrast, if you ask me.
Let me know what you guys think of it! And I guess now I’ll have to make a Skyline convertible, right? Waste not, want not.
