Since it’s still McLaren Monday, here is the car that has been sitting idle in my WIP drawer for a loooooong time. Like, a year. As you can see from this post from September 2017, I got the car shaped with all its roadcar-spec details (deleted air ducts on flanks, reshaped front fascia, spoiler delete, etc., and I removed the large rear wheel syndrome by inserting a sleeve into the wheel well. I also got it primed and ready. I had even picked out the color, and everything.
Then in December 2017 I painted it and detailed it, and sourced the PERFECT wheels.... which turned out to be an offset pair, since they were designed for this Hot Wheels casting.
Thoroughly dejected, the car sat and sat and sat, waiting to be completed. I figured the star 5-spoke real riders would look good, which was confirmed by Nate13's roadcar build, and now she is finally complete.
What a weight off my shoulders! LOL
But of course now I have to build another one soon in order to use those perfect wheels I have.
