Thanks to Fintail’s Fantastic Diecast Giveaway, today I present you with a 1/57 Majorette 1994 Renault Twingo. This Twingo is the very popular first generation. It had some funky characteristics which made the design more fun and loveable such as three asymmetrical inlet vents popping through the right side of the hood and one giant windshield wiper. Even at 1/57 scale this is a tiny car compared to other Majorette, HW, and MBX.
This is one of my favorite cars in my collection. Thank you Fintail. My wife loves it too. She asked if we could get a 1:1, and was disappointed they are not available in the U.S. I am disappointed as well. I love the 1st gen and the new 3rd gen Twingo. I asked Nissan and Infiniti if they are going to bring the new Twingo to the U.S. since Nissan-Renault Alliance is a thing. Sadly I the answer was no.
