COE+Type 1

I’ve been meaning to do this shoot for some time now, a lot of you expressed interest in this pair when I made my introductory post a few months back. I figured this might make up for my lack of an RxR Wednesday post since I never found the time to shoot something for this week. I struggled a little bit with shooting these because of the reflectiveness of the paint and the chrome elements. I did my best to edit some of my reflections out but I need to work on creating a reflective barrier if I’m going to continue to use natural light.

Both models are Jada 1:24, the COE I’ve had for some time (and are pretty plentiful at Walmart, Target and others currently) whereas TFritch had the beetle laying around. Obviously their matching paint jobs made these two a great pairing for a shoot. The beetle is pretty neat in the way that it has a set screw that lets you change the camber on the rear wheels.

Just for the record the beetle broke down on the way to the photoshoot (typical) and had to be towed there in style.
