Stockcar Sunday

What started out as a wheel swap today went down hill fast. I love the Ford Torino Talladega casting from HW, it just sits right and looks bad to the bone. The recent mainline release in the 76 Union scheme, much like the new Escort in Castrol livery, deserves a wheel swap and some detailing.

I didn’t go to town on the details on this one but here are a few key changes that I made. First off, base and interior swap with the gold/black chrome version mainly for the clear plastic. Next was a passenger seat delete and addition of a half cage with stock car forward center brace. Externally the rear exhaust was deleted for some side pipes that where fit up into the rocker panels. Last were the staggered RR steels with redlines tires for that period look. I contemplated painting the steels but in the end kept the chrome, very un-stock car, but I ran out of motivation. Enjoy!
