Teutonic Tuesday: Italian Tourist

What’s red, has fender flares, all wheel drive, an engine that revs to the moon and usually four upturned tailpipes? The Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI built for the second generation DTM series. Seriously folks, take a few minutes to YouTube this car, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had my eye on improving upon this Alfa for sometime now but the funky scale of older Matchbox products always seems to present a challenge. Then comes along the newest batch of car culture from HW and the new turbo fan rims solved this. This Alfa sports two pairs of rear rims off the new Momo Porsche 935/78 with custom axles and a touch of negative camber. I went for a monochromatic factory prototype look with this cast adding only basic front and rear detailing to the exterior. All in all kept this custom pretty simple. Maybe a factory themed car with white turbo fans and custom upturned exhaust is in the future que!

Enjoy! I give this one two wheels up ;)
