My 2017 Year In Review

I made plenty of new additions to my collection this year, both 1:64 and 1:18, so many new 1:18's in fact that I had to add two shelves to my display cabinet. While I think I’m starting to really narrow down my collecting side of the hobby I still feel like I need to start getting even more picky, not just with big scale stuff but also with 1:64. I won’t bore you with them individually but here are the stats.

By the numbers:

+12 1:18

+174 1:64

+14 Customs (all scales)

The real story for me in 2017 is my customs. I think this year I made some large leaps in my skill set which I hope to continue growing through 2018. Though I can’t guarantee you’ll see anything as crazy as the Emory car in 2018 I still have some killer ideas kicking around the work bench.

I anticipate 2018 will be a big year of change for me in my personal life, probably the hardest I’ve known in my 35 years. We’ll be adding our 2nd daughter to our family in less then two weeks but we also have to find a new house by June which will quite possibly require employment change or relocation or both (and the packing up of my project desk and supplies). So if I’m a ghost for a few months at a time you’ll know why.

Since everyone is in the habit of listing off favorites though, I’ll give you my top five favorite customs this year.
