Not much is known about it aside from being introduced by Toyota for the Japanese market in August 2002. It is a small station wagon designed for commercial use as a delivery vehicle.

It is used with a left-hand drive conversion extensively as a taxi throughout Peru, Bolivia and as right-hand drive in Myanmar (particularly in Yangon where the streets are inundated with Probox taxis.) (Source: Wkikpedia)
