MoPar Monday - '68 Hemi Cuda

We have a big black fish this week at the courtesy of Hot Wheels Garage series. This A-body Mopar shares the same platform with the Valiant and the Dart but its unique body sheet metal and range of models separate it from her siblings.

In 1968, the Barracuda did receive a double quad-barrel 426 Hemi from the factory but only for track use, these were the Super Stock race cars. There were 50 of them made with the fastback body style, each of them featured items such as lightweight Chemcor side glass, fiberglass front fenders, hood scoop, lightweight seats, and other street equipment such as rear seats delete.

With the back seats intact, it's a give-away that this beast also roams on the street, like many of the muscle cars we see from Hot Wheels, this Barracuda has been resto-modded at El Segundo. Although not being a factory special drag racer, there's no shortage of presence; the sinister black paint and wheels are nicely set off by the hockey stripe on the rear quarter panel. I definitely will move out of the way if something like this shows up on my mirrors.

That's what I'm going, moving out of the way to let the rest of the pictures do the talking...
