Muscle Monday - '67 Pontiac GTO

The Neo-Classics series start in 2002 as an online exclusive release for the Hot Wheels Collectors website, each vehicle is fitted with original Redine era style five-spoke wheels with bent-axle suspension, and a full-metal chassis; these features harkens back to the earliest Hot Wheels produced in 1968.

This metallic light blue 1967 Pontiac GTO hails from the 2nd instalment of the Neo-Classics series that was made available for online purchase in 2003. Limited to no more than 12,500 pieces, this GTO isn't exactly rare; which meant there wasn't much heartache when I pulled this out of its blister.

I don't avidly collect the Neo-Classics series, they entered the fleet out of my curiosity. It turns out that I like their retro-representation to acquire about a dozen in which then inspired me to get a couple of original Redlines to broaden my collecting experience. These Neo-Classics might not be for everyone, but I thought I'd share a few and get some reaction from fellow diecasters.
