Ah, the Sil-eighty (Sil80), birthed from street racers in Japan who had too much fun with their 180SXs and needing replacement parts for their damaged front ends. Instead of installing an 180SX nose again, the lighter (less moving parts) and cheaper Silvia's front panels are favoured; this creation out of mishap is then canonized as the Sil-eighty.
It's refreshing to see Tomica release a modified version of a car rather than the factory-correct ones that they're so fond of producing. Initial D fans wouldn't be strangers to this car, the Mako & Sayuki duo's blue Sil-eighty challenged the protagonist in the First Stage. This Tomica Limited model is certainly a nod towards popular culture.
Had Tomica space the wheels further out or gave this model wider wheels, I'd enjoy looking at it even more. Nonetheless, fans of tuner culture shouldn't kick this one out of their list.
