HAWL: Branching out into 1:43

I’m looking to branch out in this hobby, while I thoroughly enjoy the variety and creativity Hot Wheels have provided having grown up with them; I’m trying to enter another area which offers a lot more realism.

1:64 is my starting point, but there’re some very nice models from different scales that are too nice to ignore. There is so much detail one can cram into a 1:64 before it becomes invisible to the naked eye. I have a couple of 1:18 models, while having a the details I could ask for, I don’t have the space to display them.

Thus, I have decided on 1:43 to the next range I want to expand into; they’re bigger with nicer details but not too big that they quickly depletes the space I have. With a new focus, I went on a hunt to find deals - preferably someone who letting go part of a collection. I found the right guy, he was letting go part of his collection to free some space, his easy-going personality made negotiation happen smoothly. I manage to talked down the price down on some models and averaged at SG$30 for each model. We shook hands after the exchange and these are the beauties I came home with.

The HPI ・Racing R32 GT-R is my favorite out of the bunch, its details seem to have an edge over the AUTOart models. Each of them will eventually get their detailed shots, only then we can tell.
