MoPar Monday - Triple Black 'Cuda

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted a Mopar Monday, and it feels good to be back. Our subject is this sinister black Plymouth Cuda from Greenlight’s Black Bandit series.

Getting any piece from Greenlight isn’t easy as they aren’t easily available in my region, and thanks to my most recent HWEP with Mr. ZTP, I was able to score this. Been wanting a ‘Cuda from GL for a long time, this Black Bandit series piece just takes the cake.

For such a beautiful car, Greenlight let it down with some jarring flaws. Wheels make up 50% of a car model, the misalignment of the paint on the wheel spokes stands out too much, cheapening the looks of what is supposedly a premium diecast car. I believe ZTP paid more than $3 for this piece, c’mon show us the quality we know Greenlight for!

Fortunately, that can be rectified easily by removing the wheels and spray them entirely in black. What isn’t an easy fix would be the front and rear windscreen - they come frosted from the factory. Why, Greenlight. Why?

Sorry ZTP, if it sounds like I’m bashing this car and ranting away. The thing is, I really love it; it’s still an outstanding car. Seems like the Quailty Control in the factory was taking a nap when this car was being made; Greenlight is sure to lose more customers to Auto World this this goes on.
