What's your most awkward toy shopping story?

Being older than 12, we’ve all certainly faced some degree of awkwardness in the toy aisle. What’s the worst/weirdest thing you’ve experienced? For me, it was around this time last year. (or maybe the year before, but whatever) I went to Walmart and started flipping through the pegs. Then, suddenly, I was surrounded by little kids. Then a bunch of massive, muscular dudes. Then a camera crew. Nobody told me what the hell was going on, so I just got out of there as fast as I could, only to find more kids, more jocks, and more cameras throughout the rest of the store. It turned out that a bunch of the Atlanta Falcons were there to buy Christmas gifts for underprivileged kids, and every local news outlet had nothing else to report.

In hindsight, it was really cool. I just wonder why they didn’t go to Toys R Us instead.
