LALD Car Week: 1950s

There’s something cool about old wagons/SUV predecessors. To me, they embody the spirit of roadtripping families and daily grocery runs. It’s also fun to see wild custom wagons that make grocery-getting a bit of a white knuckle experience. That’s what inspired me to make this custom ‘55 Chevy Suburban. I started with a Hotwheels ‘55 Chevy Panel Truck, cut out dditional windows, added a rear row of seats, and finished it with a multi stage paint job that combines Tuxedo Black Metallic with candy blue side stripes. Fun fact: I entered this in a custom contest restricted to this casting, and won first place!
