In 1975, the original owner rolled it onto the driver’s side on a highway and it suffered severe damage.

He got it towed to his farm and tossed it in his barn. Sat there gathering dust until I bought his property about 5 years ago. I tried to restore it but didn’t have the time or money.

Engine still ran when parked. Gotta love that German engineering, given it’s been sitting unused for 31 years. My temporary engine lid stand isn’t included.

Interior is a complete time capsule. Somehow survived the wreck.

Summary of everything wrong: left rear wheel is gone, left front wheel mount is sheared off, driver’s door is loose and missing handle, left tailight is missing, right turn indicator light is missing, entire left headlight is missing, right headlight cover and bulb are missing, steering is broken (connecting rod to right wheel broke off), front bumper is missing, rear bumper is sheared off, right running board is missing. It’s a lot of work but it’s still possible to restore. Paint is in great shape at least.

Had some arrow paint job from the roof to the hood, only the hood bit is left. There’s a few paint chips left on the roof. The paint damage is due to a series of wrecks during drag races where it scraped against walls and rolled twice. The steel the body is made from is practically indestructible, but the paint, not so much. The roof paint was a pretty weak paint so it easily came off when the car rolled and the roof scraped the track.

The grille, lights, bumpers, and wheels are pretty dull and rusty but nothing that a bit of WD-40 and polishing can’t fix.

A friend of my father’s stripped out the interior and installed a massive V10 and racing seats. He also removed the rear window and tinted the other windows yellow. Called it the Packin’ Pacer. I think he used it for drag racing back in the 80s but I’m not sure.

A few years ago, he and his wife moved to Florida. He handed my dad the title and told him to sell it to someone who’d race it. So this is the attempt. Once again, paint is awful but all the technicals (engine, transmission, etc.) and bodywork is sound. Engine still runs and car is still drivable. This should be an easy job, and please, potential buyers, once it’s repainted, TAKE IT DRAGRACING!!!! THAT’S WHAT IT WAS MEANT TO DO!!!!

A police buddy of mine bought this off the department and attempted to convert it to a civilian vehicle, however it then got rear ended and he asked me to get it off his hands for him.

It’s still got a police paint job so it’ll probably need to be repainted.

And here’s the main damage. Shortly after my buddy bought it, he took it out for a ride to see what it was like (he’d never driven a Suburban, he’d always been confined to Crown Vics). He was sitting at a red light and got severely rear-ended by a tipsy driver. He also tapped the bumper of the guy in front of him from the momentum. The rear-ending took out both taillights, shattered the rear window, and destroyed the rear bumper.

From tapping the guy in front of him, he chipped paint on the hood, got a whole bunch of dents in the front bumper and chrome trim, and the front rear corner of the bumper broke off.

Interior is in fine shape. All the police gear has been removed.

The police lights have been removed. The mounting is still there though. It’s also got a massive “911" in the roof that needs to be removed. Overall, it’s got light damage all around and needs to be repainted or have the police emblems and badging removed. It’d take a bit long to repaint and it’s not really a unique car, but if you want a cheap SUV to use here you go.

Hope you liked this! That’s all for today.
