Anyone else have this problem?

I began yesterday on the re-beginning of the ‘67 Chevelle custom. Today, I primed it, but encountered an odd issue.

While the left side’s primer came out smooth and normal....

The right side was really chalky and weathered-looking.

Any ideas as to what happened?
