French Friday: a weekend Safari

Not sure if I can outdo Jobjoris’ amazing Citroën DS 21, but I’ll try. Here’s a Husky (later Corgi Juniors) Citroën Safari.

I picked this up at the same flea market I got the Seville at, for $5.

It’s in remarkable condition for a casting from the 60s or 70s. Little to no axle rust, the hubcaps are still chromed, and there’s no missing paint on the body.

It’s got two holes in the roof for a removable boat; however, not all versions of it came with the boat. The casting kept the holes anyway.

As soon as I saw it it became a must-buy.
