Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday I was granted authorship privileges here (thank you, Philipilihp) and it just so happened that I also had an essay to work on. Being that I am a natural procrastinator extraordinaire, I decided to do a miniature photoshoot with my miniature BMWs and introduce myself.
Now, this one is by far my favorite. As some of you who know my from Oppositelock may or may not know, I have a real BMW 2002 to go along with my Hotwheels (and the AUTOart). She is blue, her name is Alice, and she looks more and more like this keychain as it gets beaten up in my pocket/bag/backpack/etc. I'll post a picture of her at the very end for shits and giggles.
Now, this keychain is special for a number or reasons. One of the more significant is that it was made for me by the father of a good friend of mine as a high school graduation gift. My friend also has a BMW 2002, but his is Inka Orange. This gift may have been small, but it was exceedingly thoughtful of them both and I absolutely love it.
Up next is the AUTOart, which was a gift from my girlfriend's mother last Christmas. It's definitely the more detailed of the three cars (seriously, its gorgeous) and is exactly like the real ones came from the factory. I didnt take as many pictures of this one because the back window popped out when I was moving into my apartment this year. I have some super glue, but haven't gotten around to fixing it. I will do it tonight!
EDIT: Having already uploaded the pictures, I realized one of the windshield wipers was pushed forward. Oops. Too late now. I apologize if it's offending anyone's OCD like its offending mine.
Last up is this Inka Orange Turbo. This was actually the first of these three that I got, and was given to me by my mom because she saw it while she was grocery shopping or something and knew I would appreciate it. This is what the blue one used to look like. You can see just how beaten up it's gotten in the last few years.
I also did a really short video of the two Hotwheels. Nothing special, just a single shot put to one of my favorite songs but, like I said, I was procrastinating and I had never taken a video with my iPhone before.
I hope you enjoyed! I have a Hotwheels Datsun 510 and a Kinsmart VW Bus (the kind you get at CVS) sitting on my desk, too, so maybe I'll take some shots of those next time I have a major assignment due.
