Hot Wheels Phantom Corsair

Hooniverse Jeff’s comment in his Timbs Streamliner post reminded me that I had taken pics of my Phantom Corsair. Of course, my little Hot Wheels car can’t even be compared to his model, but I could buy 298 other Hot Wheels cars instead!

Just kidding, his 1/24 is way cooler.

Still, this is a classic Hot Wheels casting. I remember getting this one as a kid not even knowing that it was a real car. I just knew it was badass and I needed it. Who doesn’t have this car?

The Phantom Corsair has got to be one of the coolest one-offs in automotive history. It was way ahead of its time, no matter how cliche that expression is.
