RAOK from Shop S-Mart!! We had a conversation going about old Corgi castings and I mentioned the Mercedes 2.6. It’s been the Hunt’s signature car for a while now. Turns out he had a spare and sent it along even though we couldn’t work out a trade.

The card was busted anyway, so DLM ALL THE THINGS! Still smells like 1998...

The 2.6 was more commonly known as the 190e, or W201 if you’re a Mercedes nerd. It’s a little different than the famous Cosworth 2.3 or later 2.5, although it wears a similar body kit. The 2.6 was an inline-6 engine as opposed to the Cossie 4’s.

I really like the look of this casting, and the headlights are a seperate pieces from the body. The grille and door handles are painted silver. There’s a license plate stamped on the front too!

That gap though! If this wasn’t such a classic piece, I’d consider swapping some larger diameter BBS wheels. Seriously though, this is hilarious.

Around back, we have the matching license plate and colored tail lights. The details of the subtle body kit are great on this casting. Boxy yet aggressive.

The wheel gap doesn’t look so bad from this angle!

Time to find a new headliner for the Hunt (and time to start posting those again).
