Majorette Monday: Morgan in Metallic Mint.

Just a few photos of a Majorette Morgan Plus in metallic green that I found in a Value Village thrift store toy car grab bag at some point last year, taken on the roof of a Volvo parked in a Loblaws supermarket parking lot.

I can see that the white balance is off. Eh, it was cloudy and I tried auto white balance pointing at a white sign but it still ended up with a pink hue.

I don’t know how well it comes across in these photos, but the metallic, almost chrome, paint looks almost exactly like Hot Wheels Spectraflame. I think I spotted a glint of green when I first picked the bag of old cars off the peg at Value Village and thought it may have been a Hot Wheels Classics car at first, although I could soon tell it was a Majorette just from the slightly chunkier proportions. Unlike most modern Majorettes, though, this is a full diecast metal car, body and chassis.

Completely unrelated, a minor update pertaining to that post I made the other weekend about the Hot Wheels peg at my local (Baseline/Clyde in Ottawa-Nepean) Walmart that was marked “James Bond cars”. Nothing new to report, really, but I took a photo of the still-empty peg this time.
