I don’t really have too much to say about this. It’s a Majorette Mercedes-Benz 300 TE station wagon in very played-with condition. It’s Majorette casting #250, it doesn’t have a country of manufacture on the metal chassis so I’m presuming it’s made in France, and it’s 1/63 scale. Yes, one-sixty-third scale. One denominator off from the norm. Just to be different. (Although it’s a slightly smaller scale than most Majorette castings I have, which tend to be close to 1/60.)
As is the case with many of the cars I post, this is a Value Village thrift store toy car grab bag find. I mostly bought it for the big Mercedes-Benz logo on the hood, which I needed to fill a gap in my “manufacturer logo cars” carrying case.
Yes, the rear hatch opens. No, I didn’t think to take a photo of that function. There were really only a few minutes of decent sunlight left when I was taking photos of not just this Majorette but also the Hot Wheels Porsche 917s I posted earlier, so it just slipped my mind.
