The first one, this Renault Sport RS01 was a little bit of an disappointment because I expected the seller to ship me one of these with the cool Interceptor livery. And now I see he has a “will ship random color” warning in the listing that I obviously missed. Aah well! I can live with this Renault Motorsport standard yellow livery. This is a 1:43 scale model from BBurago.
This 2nd one for the week has been a model that I’ve been hunting for a couple of years now. I almost got my hands on one in early 2015 or so but that ended with a dispute filed with Aliexpress because the seller never shipped.
Since then, for almost 2 years, I’ve only seen this one listed as a lot of 10 cars (or was it 5) for $38, which was way over my budget for something to be shipped into India with our notoriously finicky customs department.
Then a couple of weeks ago, I got lucky. And today, here it is - The Nissan R390 GT1 in 1:43 scale. The brand is called “Highspeed”, the same as my twin 1:43 McLaren F1 GTRs.
