Hot Sixty 4th: If this were the real thing...

In this series I will showcase DLM cars ranging within the 1/64 and smaller. Most of you have probably seen the Datsun Bluebird 510 from Hot Wheels but do you know that Jada also did one after Hot Wheels released theirs for a while? For my 27th model for Land of the Rising Sun Day here’s the ‘71 Datsun 510 from Jada.

This is from their For Sale series and if you are collecting or have seen this series before most of their models have the weathered look. But for some reason they decided to leave this one unweathered and still looking like it was ready for the next race.

As far as I know this was the only variation from Jada and I wondered whether the reason they did not weathered this is for collectors to have a decent looking model as they probably know they won’t have another chance to release this again for whatever reason.

It may not have the BRE livery which probably would have made this more popular but as far as detail is concern I think Jada did a pretty good job with a nice black wheel to go with and would rival the Hot Wheels mainline release.

So the final question is if this was the real thing and was restored at this condition, would you take it?
