Welcome again to Forty 3rd which tackles models within the 1/43 scale and smaller. Here is another pickup from a Deutsch branded car in the tradition of the Ford Ranchero of America.

Based on the 50's Mercedes 180 sedan, the coach builder, Binz (established 1936 / Lorch, Germany near Stuttgart) produced roughly 400 of these pick-ups. However these pick-ups were not used in Germany and were made as export models for the South African market only. Note the right hand steering. The South African term for pick-up is “bakkie.” The German word for pick-up is “pritsche” (plank bed).
Made by Neo scale models, HobbyDB indicated that it was founded by Dutch company Replicars (owned by Jaap van Dijk) around 2009. it was then sold to Model Car World, a German company, since late 2011.
This model is highly detail with added components like photo etched parts, door handles, headlights and chrome bumpers. Of course being made of resin, it is lighter and more fragile.
